Kesrick Williams and Virat Kohli

West Indies pacer Kesrick Williams recently in an interview stated that he is waiting to bowl to the Indian skipper Virat Kohli again. The Vincentian cricketer also spoke about the clash he had with Kohli back in 2017 and 2019.

He said that both of them would be really pumped up to face each other when they meet next time and it would be nothing less than a fierce battle between him and the Indian skipper.

The rivalry between Kesrick and Kohli

In 2019, West Indies came on a tour to India in which they played a three-match ODI and T20 series in the month of December. The hosts stood tall by winning the T20 series by 2-1. One of the most memorable moments of the series was the clash between Kohli and Williams.

That was not the first time that these 2 involved in a fierce clash. The first clash dates back to 2017 when Kesrick Williams used his notebook celebration after dismissing the Indian skipper in Jamaica. Kohli never seemed to forget that celebration and gave it back to Kesrick Williams in 2019. He imitated Kesrick’s celebration after hitting a six of his ball.

Speaking about the clash to TOI Kesrick said, “On the day, if I get a wicket, it just happens naturally. So, I do not know what I will do next when I ever dismiss Kohli next. One thing I will do next for sure is next time if I will play Kohli, it will be a battle. As soon as he sees me, he is going to be pumped (up). I am going to be pumped (up) as well.”
