“I’d love to wrestle him” – Former Universal Champion wants to face Edge

WWE Superstar Kevin Owens has revealed that he wants to face Edge. Owens and Edge are currently a part of the WWE Smackdown roster.


The Rated-R Superstar, Edge, is undoubtedly one of the biggest WWE wrestlers of all time. He has faced and even defeated almost all the legends of the industry. Edge returned to WWE, at Royal Rumble 2020. He is currently feuding against the current top star of WWE, Roman Reigns.

Since his return to WWE, the Ultimate Opportunist has made it clear that he wants to wrestle opponents he hasn’t faced before. Considering, the legend that he is, many wrestlers want to face him too.

On the most recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, Kevin Owens has revealed that he wishes to face Edge. both the wrestlers are on the Smackdown roster currently and they could wrestle some time in future.

“I gotta say, I wondered if he would even come back from this injury because who knows? But I’m glad to see he did, and of course, a possibility of a match with Edge, now that it’s back on the table, is something really appealing and I really hope it happens. I just hope I’m in the ring with him in any way shape or form. I’d be happy to be his tag team partner once. I’d love to wrestle him.”

In 2011, at the age of 37, Edge had to retire from wrestling due to a neck injury. His untimely retirement shocked fans throughout the world. While appearing on the podcast, Owens also revealed his reaction when Edge announced his retirement.

“I was watching from home when Edge announced his retirement, and I always loved Edge as a performer, I always thought he was fantastic…So when Edge announced his retirement way too early, that was really hard to watch for everyone, and you know, myself, just like everybody else…it felt like a possibility of something great was robbed from us.”

Edge will b seen in action on the upcoming episode of Smackdown. He will be facing Jey Uso, and the winner will be the special enforcer for the Universal Championship match at WWE Fastlane.
