Key Dates for Premier League 2020-21 revealed

The 2020-21 Premier League season starts on September 12. The fixtures were announced today earlier in the day. Champions Liverpool start their title defence against Bielsa’s Leeds. Arsenal will kickstart their campaign with a London derby against newly promoted Fulham.

Meanwhile, Chelsea and Tottenham play against Brighton and Everton, respectively. The two Manchester clubs, City and United have seen their fixtures postponed due to involvement in latter stages of European competitions.

Premier League, known to be one of the most exciting leagues in the world, presents us with some mouth-watering fixtures. This season, the games will come thick and fast, as they look to cover up for the time lost in previous season.

The fans will not have to wait longer, with the first heavyweight clash coming on 19th September. Werner-led Chelsea will take on the champions, Liverpool. Apart from this, the fans get to witness the Merseyside, Manchester and London derbies, the matches which always ensure drama.

To add to it, there is the Liverpool vs City clash, which some people term as ‘English Clasico’ due to their recent dominance in the league.

Manchester United vs Manchester City – Manchester Derby

The Manchester Derby has become one of the fiercest rivalries since City’s revival in the Premier League. City and United will both go into the season with the aim of knocking Liverpool off their perch.

United prevailed their City rivals in the league this season, winning both their matches. City on the other hand, got their revenge in the League Cup semi-final.

Both the teams will be geared up to better their rivals with Solskjaer and Pep looking to spice up the rivalry. The fans of both the clubs, will hope that this turns out to be yet another classic. United will host City in December while the return fixture will be played in March.

After the arrival of the two great managers, both the teams have fought tooth and nail for the title. Liverpool lost the title by 1 point before dominating and finally winning it this season. The teams won 1 each this season in the league. The fans will be waiting for the next part of this modern rivalry to unveil when City are hosts in November.
