Khamzat Chimaev vs Leon Edwards rebooked for 13th March Main Event

The fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards has been booked for the third time for March 13th main event.

The Welterweight contest between Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards is booked for the third time at 13th March’s UFC Fight Night Main Event. After being getting canceled for prior two times Dana White is hopeful this time this fight would happen.

In his latest interview with MMA Junkie Dana White confirmed that UFC rebooked this fight for March 13th. Although the venue or host city for this event hasn’t decided yet this time the fans will hope this fight doesn’t get canceled.

They both were booked to face each other for the first time in December but it is pushed forward after Leon Edwards gets tested positive for COVID. Then this fight is booked for Fight Island in January and this time Khamzat pulled his name.

Khamzat Chimaev also gets caught by COVID and he pulled his name because he wasn’t fully recovered from the infection. Both of them are in good health now and they will finally look to enter the Octagon to show their worth.

Leon Edwards is entering this fight with an 8 fight win streak with his last win coming against Rafael Dos Anjos in July 2019. He has been inactive since then and the ‘Borz’ Khamzat Chimaev is on a three-fight win streak with his last win coming against Gerald Meerschaert.

With a win over Leon Edwards, Khamzat will look forward to taking a huge leap in the Welterweight ranking and ‘Rocky’ will definitely look forward to ending the hype of Khamzat and show him what it feels like to face a ranked opponent.
