Kieran Trippier suspended from play for 10 weeks after found guilty of breaching Football Association’s betting rules


Atletico Madrid right back Kieran Trippier was charged with seven alleged breaches but denied all of them. However he was found guilty of 4 of those charges and now a ban has been placed on him along with a fine of £70,000. Now he will miss out on atleast 12 matches for Atletico Madrid including a Champions League fixture.
Ban from football is effective immediately
The ban from football is effective immediately and he will miss 12 matches and will miss a lot of vital matches for the team. Matches against Sevilla, Valencia, Cadiz, Chelsea (Champions League) and Villarreal will be missed by him.
He was signed by Atletico Madrid from Tottenham after Tottenham’s loss to Liverpool in the Champions League final. Playing as a right-wing back and right-back he has made 36 appearances for the club. He made his debut for Atletico Madrid with an assist and has gone on to get just one more assist.
He will now pay an additional £70,000 for being found guilty of charges of breaching of betting rules.
