Jurgen Klopp and Jose Mourinho have expressed their disappointment after the CAS overturned City’s ban.

The Liverpool manager expressed that he might be happy for Manchester city as they can take part in next year’s UEFA Champions League tournament. But however he was not happy with the lifting of UEFA-imposed sanctions “ Not a good day for football”. As the European football governing body was not able to punish the defaulters on for alleged breaches of Financial Fair Play regulations.

In an interview the Liverpool Manger expressed his concerns stating “From a personal point of view I’m happy City can play Champions League next year, they don’t have 10-12 games less now in Premier League – no other team would have had a chance in the league.

“I don’t think it was a good day for football yesterday, to be honest.

“FFP is a good idea. It is there for protecting teams and the competition, so that nobody overspends and they have to make sure the money they want to spend is based on the right sources.

“If the richest clubs and countries can do what they want to do, then that makes it difficult. That would lead to a world league, it would depend on who owns the clubs and not the names of the clubs.

Even Mourninho was not all in the favor of lifting of the European Ban as he slammed the uplifting of ban and called it disgraceful.

The Portuguese manager was seen saying “I think it’s the end of Financial Fair Play. In the case it’s a disgraceful decision because if City are not guilty of it then you are not punished with 10m.

“If you’re not guilty you shouldn’t have a fine. If they are guilty the decision is also a disgrace and you should be banned from the competition. I don’t know if Manchester City are guilty or not but either way it’s a disgraceful decision.”

Both the Managers agreed on the fact that ban uplifting the ban was bad move by the footballing authorities and they also felt that this would only create disparity between big as well as teams. A disgrace to the footballing world.
