In a recent notice given at the official website of Battlegrounds Mobile India, it has been announced that Krafton has revised BGMI Privacy Policy which means certain changes have been made to the existing privacy policy of BGMI.

Privacy has always been a cause of concern for different games that can be operated in India. It was the main reason that PUBG Mobile got banned in India as the game was allegedly sending player’s personal data to the Chinese servers, much to the disappointment of official authorities. As a result, Krafton who has brought back PUBG Mobile to India in the avatar of Battlegrounds Mobile India is very cautious regarding the privacy of its users.

Before launching Battlegrounds Mobile India for players in India, Krafton took every necessary measure to ensure that the game does not get banned in India. It issued various notifications where every information regarding player’s data storage was explained vividly. Not only that, the officials also took care about the underage players by bringing authentication verification system. In a recent announcement the officials announced the following-

The changes that have been made in BGMI Privacy Policy will be effective from today i.e. 26th November. As stated above, the new revised policy states that Krafton will also collect the information of players from Survey responses. The officials had previously conducted an in-game survey asking players about their gaming experience. As per the new policy, any information given by the players in the survey will also be stored in the game servers.

Apart from that, Krafton has brought the OTP system for underage players to ensure that minors do not spend much time in playing. These steps are being considered necessary by Krafton as battle-royale games are in constant lime light for being addictive games.
