On the 2nd day of restart in La Liga, Valencia hosted Levante at Mestalla with Espanyol hosting Alaves. Villareal were away to Celta Vigo while Leganes vs Valladolid completed the matches for the day.

The result meant Valencia stay on 7th with 43 points while Levante are in 12th with 34 points.

A red card in the first half for Alaves keeper Pacheco, meant Alaves played most of the match with 10 men. Espanyol made easy work of their opponent as a gaol at stroke of half-time and other immediate at the restart were enough to seal a much-needed win. The win still keeps Espanyol at the bottom, 3 short of safety while Alaves remain 15th courtesy of the loss.

A last gasp winner by Villareal gave them the full 3 points in a match which they dominated. The home side Celta could not manage a shot on target and eventually conceded at the end. The loss keeps Celta on 17th with 26 points, a point ahead of relegation zone. Villareal move to 8th place, level with Granada on 41 points.

The home side got off to a nightmare start when the keeper and defender had a mix-up which helped Valladolid to snatch the lead. The away side looked in control of the match and eventually doubled their lead in 54th minute. The home side got a consolation goal in 84th minute but it was not enough as their relegation problems deepen. The win takes Valladolid to 14th on 32 points while Leganes are stuck in 19th with relegation looking certain.
