In the intense match between Valencia and Athletic Bilbao, substitute Maranhao scored in the injury time to secure a draw out of nowhere against Athletic Bilbao. In the 1st half, both teams were close to score but failed to do so. But in the 2nd half, the deadlock was broken by Martinez by scoring at 69th minute. Gomez getting red card at 82nd minute dented Valencia’s attacking chances but in the end they secured an important draw.

Jasper Cillessen (GK) (7/10): Cillessen looked spot from 1st minute. He made some great passes to the defenders and also helped Valencia in attacking build up.

Toni Lato (7/10): Lato was amazing at left back position. He made 3 exceptional interceptions to dent the build up by Vencedor and Berenguer.

Omar Alderete (6/10): At Centre Back, Alderete had a poor day. He had only 44% passing accuracy and was failing to stop the build up of Garcia, Munlain and Vencedor.

Gabriel Paulista (8/10): Gabriel was sharp and active throughout the game. He made 2 terrific clearances and had 88% passing accuracy.

Dimitri Foulquier (7/10): Foulquier looked good in terms of blocking Bilbao’s chances and making interceptions but during the defensive build up he was failing to keep up the ball.

Hugo Duro (6/10): Duro looked a bit nervy in the 1st half, failing to keep the ball. But as the game progressed he assisted Guillamon and Wass with build up.

Hugo Guillamon (7/10): Both on and off the ball, Guillamon was fantastic. He was able to run through Bilbao defense and also helped in attacking build up with Wass, Guedes and Gomez.

Daniel Wass (7/10): Wass looked very firm throughout the match as he made some very key passes and also had 80% passing accuracy.

Yunus Musah (7/10): At right wing, Musah was very effective. He made some great runs from defense to attacking front and also won some tackles and made great clearances.

Goncalo Guedes (7/10): Guedes was brilliant with the ball and had two shots on goal. Also he had 83% passing accuracy.

Maximilano Gomez (7/10): Throughout the game, Gomez was very impactful both with his run, passing and he had some good shots on goal. But he ended with red card at 82nd minute.


Jesus Vazquez (7/10): He produced some great passes for Valencia after coming as a substitute. He also allowed the midfield to get more opportunities to get more scoring chances.

Maranhao (7/10): He came from bench and scored the important injury time goal for Valencia.

Jason (7/10): Jason replaced Musah and he looked in excellent form. He had 100% passing accuracy.

Manu Vallejo (7/10): Vallejo after coming from bench was looking good. He made some great interceptions and also was helping the midfield to attack with good through balls.

Athletic Bilbao

Unai Simon (GK) (8/10): Simon was wall for Athletic Bilbao at the goal. He made an important saves and also made some amazing passes in Bilbao defense build up.

Mikel Balenziaga (7/10): Balenziaga was very intact with his passing and creating spaces on the pitch. He was constantly pressing Wass and Musah and dented Valencia build up.

Inigo Martinez (8/10): At the centre back position, Martinez was spot on to track down Guillamon and Guedes. He also scored the amazing goal for Athletic Bilbao courtesy of the assist by Berenguer.

Daniel Vivian (7/10): Vivian was very good tactically as center back. He made an important clearance to deny Gomez from scoring.

Inigo Lekue (7/10): Lekue had a good game at right back. He made some amazing passes and blocks to keep the pressure on Valencia.

Iker Muniain (7/10): Munian was very active for Atheltic Bilbao and had an excellent game in attacking front, making three key passes. He had 94% passing accuracy and also helped in the build up leading to the goal.

Unai Vencedor (6/10): Vencedor looked lack lustre in his stint on the pitch. He had 56% passing accuracy and was finding difficult to manage the press put up by Gabriel and Alderete.

Dani Garcia (6/10): Garcia looked out of sorts in the midfield for Bilbao. He had only 65% passing accuracy.

Alex Berenguer (7/10): At left wing, Berenguer looked very good both on and off the ball. He provided the important assist to Martinez to score the goal.

Inaki Williams (6/10): Williams was not able to penetrate Valencia defense and was passing accuracy was very low.

Raul Garcia (6/10): In the game, Raul Garcia also had issues similar to Williams. He was not in great positions to score and also had only 64% passing accuracy fading out the chances to score goals for Bilbao.


Nico Williams (7/10): In the 2nd half substitution, Williams was brought in to bring pace in the attack to tire out Valencia defense. He made some great movements and passes on the pitch.

Oscar De Marcos (6/10): Marcos came as a substitute for Balenziaga in 53rd minute. He was not looking confident with the ball as he was loosing the ball too easily his passing was not great to threaten Valencia defense.

Mikel Vesga (7/10): In last 10 minutes of play, Vesga created amazing much impact in offensive play. He also helped the defense to keep the ball by some great clearances.

Nico Serrano (7/10): Serrano was brought in to strengthen the attacking options for Bilbao. He created some close chances and also had a shot on the goal.
