Manchester United are having a frustrating transfer window as they are unable to sign their target transfers. Their only signing was the Dutch International midfielder Van De Beek. Their pursuit to sign Jadon Sancho , a LB and a CB doesn’t look promising with the transfer deadline approaching.
Meanwhile, the Italian Giants Lazio are looking forward to sign the midfield duo of Andreas Pereira and Juan Mata from Manchester United before the transfer window ends. Lazio after failing in their attempt to sign David Silva from Manchester City are now targeting to sign the United duo to strengthen their squad.
Lazio’s failure in signing David Silva
SS Lazio had an amazing run in the 2019/20 season. They defeated the ‘Old Lady’ Juventus to lift the Supercoppa Italiana. They also finished fourth in the Serie A and secured their Champions League spot. Their striker Ciro Immobile won the European Golden Shoe after scoring 35 goals in 36 matches.
To further improve their performance this season Lazio tried to sign David Silva. SS Lazio reportedly agreed a three-year deal with David Silva. They even scheduled medicals for the Man City legend in Rome. But at the last moment David Silva snubbed Lazio and signed for Real Sociedad. The entire football community was furious as Silva snubbed Lazio in the last minute after all the talks.
Mata and Pereira to make it up for David Silva
Lazio are still in the pursuit of a midfielder to strengthen their squad. Reports suggest that United have opened talks with the Italian giants Lazio over a double transfer of their midfield duo Mata and Pereira. With the signing of Van De Beek United seem to have more than enough midfield options in their squad. Hence United are looking forward to sell Mata and Pereira and utilize those funds to strengthen their defense and also to sign Jadon Sancho.
SS Lazio who had an amazing run last season will look to continue the same this season too. They will look forward to challenge Juventus for the Serie-A title by signing Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira from Manchester United.
