Leeds United vs Newcastle United: Leeds United squared off against Newcastle United at the Elland Road Stadium in Matchday 21 of the ongoing edition of the Premier League.
Both the teams were equally dominant in the 1st half with chances on both the sides. Newcastle had to make some forced changes late in the 1st half and also early in the 2nd half. However, Newcastle were able to take the lead in the 75th minute with an excellent freekick goal scored by Jonjo Shelvey which helped the Magpies get all the 3 points which were crucial for them.

Illan Meslier (6/10): The French goalkeeper had a solid performance in front of the goal making a few good saves. His distribution was also good. However, he was scored passed once.
Pascal Struijk (6.4/10): The centre-back was pretty decent in his performance tonight making some good blocks. He also played a few good passes as well.
Diego Llorente (6.3/10): The Spanish centre-back was also pretty solid in the defence making some good challenges and blocks.
Robin Koch (6.2/10): The defender playing as a defensive midfielder had a satisfactory performance tonight making some good interceptions and some good passes.
Stuart Dallas (5.8/10): The Northern-Irish full back was good carrying the ball and his off the ball movement was also quite well.
Luke Ayling (5.9/10): The English right back had a good night both offensively and defensively. He also played a few good passes with his teammates.
Rodrigo (6.2/10): The Spanish forward worked hard today sometimes carrying the ball from midfield and also trying to put pressure on the defenders as well.
Mateusz Klich (6/10): The midfielder played some good passes and controlled the tempo in the midfield. He also made some good interceptions.
Jack Harrison (6.2/10): The winger was really good in the 1st half making some excellent runs into the opponent half both with and without the ball. However, his performance dropped as the game went on.
Raphinha (6.4/10): The Brazilian winger was probably the most effective player on the pitch for the home side today. He was fast and always tried to create something.
Dan James (6.3/10): The Welsh winger had a really good performance using his pace to put pressure on the defenders. He was also good on the ball as well.
Tyler Roberts (4/10): He did not have an effective game coming on as a sub. However, he tried to link up with his teammates but without effect.

Martin Dúbravka (7/10): The Slovak goalkeeper was busier of the two goalkeepers as he had to make some excellent and important saves. His ball distribution was also good and he was also able to keep a clean sheet.
Fabian Schär (6.7/10): The Swiss centre-back was solid in the defence line making some good tackles and stops. His ball distribution was also very good.
Jamaal Lascelles (6.4/10): The English centre-back led the very well from the back making some good stops and challenges. He was also very good in the air.
Paul Dummett (6.2/10): The left-back did face some difficulties facing Rafinha but he dealt with everything well.
Kieran Trippier (6.4/10): The right-back played some good passes and also carried the ball well. His off the ball movement as well as defensive duty can also be well appreciated.
Jonjo Shelvey (7.5/10): The English midfielder was superb in the midfield holding on to the ball well and maintaining the tempo of the match. He scored an excellent freekick in the 75th minute to earn all 3 points for the away side.
Joelinton (5/10): The midfielder played some really good minutes carrying the ball well, but he had to be subbed off late in the 1st half due to an injury.
Joe Willock (6.4/10): The young midfielder had a really good performance tonight as he was always looking to create something. His passing was also very good.
Chris Wood (6.3/10): The striker had a decent performance tonight running at the defenders and trying to create pressure. He also had a couple of shts at the goal as well.
Allan Saint-Maximin (6.7/10): The 24 year old winger always looked dangerous when he was on the ball, running at the defenders and trying to create something.
Ryan Fraser (6.3/10): The Scottish winger had a decent performance as well playing some good passes and combining somewhat well with others.
Sean Longstaff (6.3/10): The midfielder had a really good game as he was really composed and held onto the ball very well. He also played some really good passes.
Javier Manquillo (5.5/10): He was also effective after coming on as a sub as he did some excellent defending. He also made some really good runs and combined well with his teammates.
Ciaran Clark (5/10): He had a satisfactory performancetonight as he came on as a sub playing some good passes and making some interceptions.
