It is safe to say that Lewis Hamilton has established his authority over each and every driver on the current grid with domination. Having signed his 1-year contract extension with Mercedes, Hamilton is surely looking to grab hold of his 8th World Championship anyhow in the upcoming 2021 F1 season. But many fans have been speculating what after the 2021 season for the Brit Driver?
Some believe that Hamilton will retire from the sport post winning his 8th World Championship in 2021 on a high note. While others differ to argue that Lewis Hamilton to continue to race even after the 2021 season. Former F1 Driver, Christijan Albers, in a recent De Telegraaf F1 podcast, explained why Hamilton will not leave F1 anytime soon.

“You can see that he often goes to America to hang out with the stars. He wants to maintain that lifestyle, so he will definitely continue in Formula 1. If I left the sport, I think I would end up in a ‘black hole’ pretty quickly,” said Albers as per Marca.
Hamilton is arguably one of the greatest drivers in the sport’s history. Albers also claims that Hamilton still has the skill, talent, and momentum to keep on winning.
“Lewis won’t stop for now, he’s still in his element. Sometimes he talks about how he might retire, but he really enjoys the sport. He really likes the show and wants to level up.”
“So I don’t really see him stopping, not even next year. He feels at home in this world, where he also deals with the best artists in the world,” Christijan Albers explained.
Having said that, with the 2021 season set to begin in Bahrain, lets see how the reigning champion plans his moves to extend upon his legacy.
