It is a good time to be a Liverpool fan. Buzzing from their historical Premier League trophy win in 30 years, and a recent Champions League trophy as well, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side looks formidable in the league. However, Klopp still believes that he needs to reinforce his team with spending big in this transfer window:

Liverpool’s Transfer Window:

Diego Jota

After signing Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich just yesterday, Klopp is now close to signing Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Diego Jota for £41 million.

However, Liverpool are in desperate need to sign an attacker to support their famous front three, with Brewster and Origi not providing enough cover. Klopp may also want to replace Firmino with Jota, as Firmino’s infamous goal drought could be the deciding factor this season.

Jota

The Portuguese forward is exactly what Liverpool need. His versatility, work-rate and determination have impressed the German boss. His impressive 44 goals in 131 appearances for Wolves could really bolster their attack. Goal can confirm that Wolves have allowed Liverpool to be flexible with their payment terms by paying as little as 10% of the transfer amount over the next 12 months. The Guardian has confirmed the deal is done with both clubs agreeing to the transfer.

With newcomers Tsimikas, Thiago and now Diego Jota, there will be no doubt that Klopp will want the trophy again.
