Liverpool vs Leicester City Player Ratings

Diogo Jota scored the first goal for Liverpool

Caoimhin Kelleher (8.5/10): After conceding 3 early goals, this player stood for his side and proved himself to be a hero of the match with two crucial saves in the penalty shoot-out.

Conor Bradley (5/10): There was no such contribution from him in the defense. Lack of experience played a major role and he was missing chances, failing to identify runs made by the strikers, etc.

Joe Gomez (7/10): Though an important person in the defense for “The Reds” side. But today, his performance was lagging behind some way or the other.

Billy Koumetio (6/10): Lack of experience played a major role and the same thing happened like Conor Bradley.

Konstantinos Tsimikas  (8/10): A proper LB, he was making proper overlapping runs, ball-winning areas were quite good and some tackles stood quite challenging and goal saving. His passes were also quite helpful for the wingers and the strikers to make proper runs towards the opponent’s goal.

Jordan Henderson (7/10): He did not perform as expected. He was losing balls in the midfield and giving away balls in the opponent’s feet was quite a common thing today from him.

Tyler Morton (6/10): An average performance from him, but his performance could have been much better.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain (9/10): A true definition of a midfielder. He scored when his team was in need of goals. He was there in midfield, supporting strikers also in defense so that the defense gets stronger. His long balls and short passes were also good enough.

Takumi Minamino (8.5/10): He can be called the saviour of “The Reds.” He scored a last-minute skimmer which helped the Liverpool side to take the game to penalties. Also, in the penalty shoot out his goal helped Liverpool in reaching the Semi-finals.

Neco Williams (5/10): He didn’t contribute much today. No conversion, no shots attempted and the ball-winning rate is also less for him.

Roberto Firmino (8/10): He could have performed much better today. Though he had taken shots on target and had a conversion rate he didn’t act well in goals.

Leicester City

Patson Daka is in fine form with five goals in two games

Kasper Schmeichel (7/10): A perfect night for him. Though, conceding a goal at the stoppage time made him lose all his nerves. He was too good with the clearances and saves. But, unfortunately, it was not his night today.

Ricardo Pereira (6.5/10): A not-so-satisfying performance from him tonight. The last-minute goal could have been stopped and the goals conceded were only because of proper coordination between him and his fellow teammates.

Wilfred Ndidi (8/10): A perfect CB for today. He was too good with clearances, standing tackles, and sliding tackles as well. One way or the other, it was not his night today.

Caglar Soyuncu (6/10): There was not much contribution from this player tonight. He was lacking at certain points and sometimes caused a threat to the defence.

Bokubakary Soumare (7/10): An average performance by him today. There were no such mistakes he had committed, his aerial balls and short passes were also good.

Luke Thomas (7.5/10): He did his duty compassionately. With proper aerial balls and shorts passes and proper clearances at the time, this player turned out good for Leicester tonight.

Youri Tielemans (8/10): With crucial passes and proper overlapping and supporting the defenders in need, this player has proved himself to be in a good form. Though, we didn’t see any assist or long-range shots from his feet today.

James Maddison (9/10): A proper representative of the team. He was playing like a sole warrior in the field. Starting from short through passes to overhead balls, passing accuracy was perfect. The way he played today showed that it was his night.

Kieman Dewsbury- Hall  (7/10): An average performance from him today. No such eye-catching passes or tackles.

Patson Daka (6/10): Today was not his night. He seemed quite off, on the pitch and there were no proper chances that were being created by him.

Jamie Vardy (9/10): Two early goals, which proved fatal for “The Reds.” A lot of chances were created and kept the opponent defenders always at their toes. He also tried breaking the defense with his coordination with the midfielders of his team.
