‘Triple C’ Henry Cejudo has a piece of advice for Conor McGregor, following the Irishman’s devastating loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 257. A humble and ultra-motivated Conor McGregor took on Dustin Poirier at UFC 257, in a fight many tipped the Irishman to win with ease. But, Dustin Poirier had other plans, as he played spoilsport to the ‘Notorious” much awaited return to the octagon, KOing him in only the second round. The win saw Dustin Poirier get his vengeance – as the two had fought, way back in 2014, when Conor beat Dustin via TKO. in the first round.

Speaking of this in a video posted by him, on Twitter, Cejudo had a few words to say about Conor McGregor failing to keep Dustin Poirier’s kicks in check. He further advised Conor to become ‘better at distance’.

That calf kick has made guys like Justin Gaethje successful‘ – Cejudo

Henry Cejudo was quoted as saying, “Main event, Conor McGregor… Conor McTapper, I’m sorry and Dustin Poirier. Again, leaning into the same thing, Conor McGregor you cannot just continue to keep pressing people off the karate stance. It’s the same reason why I came away from it. Even though Daniel Cormier says I have the best karate stance in MMA, I had to lean away from it cuz it is a little too dangerous. So if I was to give him some advice, I’d tell him ‘Man continue with the same stance but just become better at distance.’” [via BJPenn.com]

He continued, “Because people now know that that front leg kick is there. That calf kick has made guys like Justin Gaethje successful. Which in my opinion he’s the one that started it. Marlon Moraes hit me with it, which you learn from these things and you are able to adjust. This is how you evolve as a fighter.” [via BJPenn.com]

It is to be noted that Cejudo retired after beating Dominick Cruz, last May, at UFC 249. He has hinted at a possibility of making a comeback ever since!
