United are on a 19 match unbeaten run and are looking to beat Chelsea 4th time this season. Ighalo has been very impressive since coming on loan to united in the month of January. Ighalo opened up the scoring with superb finish against Norwich. The Nigerian has racked up five goals in 14 appearances.

In an interview with United’s media team he said Everybody wants to play against teams like Chelsea, big teams, and play well against them and, most of all, playing at Wembley and, you know if you win, you’re in the final. So, of course, it’s going to give you more to want to fight hard and make sure you give everything to win the game.

He also added “To get to the final would be great for me in my life and my career. I missed out in 2016 and I have the opportunity once. Now get to the final with the club I’ve supported all my life. It would make my dreams perfect.

“We have beaten them three times this season I think. But we’re playing them now in the semi-final. All those games don’t count though.

Ighalo understands his responsibility as a backup striker”As a professional, you have to be ready, you have to have that mental strength to be ready. We train hard to keep fit and I’m always ready when I’m called upon, and I will give 100 per cent. You always have to stay focused”.
