Manchester United ask fans to help fight COVID-19

Whole world is in grasp of fast spreading coronavirus and many countries are under complete shutdown. All sports events are either cancelled or postponed.

Manchester United manager of men’s and women’s team, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Casey Stoney, shared a message for the fans amid coronavirus pandemic saying that we all need to come together during these ‘unprecedented times’. They also thanked National Health Services staff for their effort to contain virus.

“Firstly on behalf of everyone at Manchester United, our thoughts are with anyone who has been directly affected by the virus and everyone dealing with the impact of it. All our gratitude goes to the healthcare staff working of the NHS in the UK and in hospitals around the world at this particular time,” Solskjaer and Stonely said in a statement on club’s twitter handle.

“We all having to adjust including fans, players, coaches – to a new way of living, without our fix of football, although we all agree to same thing that everyone’s health and wellbeing at this time is much important. These are unprecedented times and we now need to all come together to combat this global pandemic,” they added.

They also said that people need to change their behavior strictly need to follow the government guidelines to control the spread of disease.

“it is important for everyone to follow the government guidelines to help control COVID-19, wherever you are in the world. That’s what we are doing at Manchester United as all our players are training at home, following individual programmes and using technology to stay in touch with our medical, fitness and coaching staff,” they said.

As of today, there are 423330 cases of coronavirus are there worldwide and 18906 people lost their lives because of it. People need to stay in their homes and keep social distancing to stop it’s spread.
