Manchester United To Refund Fans If Matches Are Cancelled Or Played Behind Doors

Renowned Football Club, Manchester United has said in a statement that they will be refunding their fans & supporters for the home matches if they are to be played behind the doors or without spectators. This comes up after all the sporting action in the world is at a halt due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

The official statement read, “The club fully supports the collective intent to complete the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and the UEFA club competitions. However, if it were decided that games cannot be played, or needed to be played behind closed doors, Manchester United confirms it will offer season ticket holders either a pro-rata rebate against their season tickets for next year or a pro-rata cash refund based on the number of games still to be played.”

This refund will also be applied to those supporters who have paid beforehand for the general or the VIP matchday passes of the remaining games of this season. Although, the club also mentioned that if the matches will be played normally, all the tickets will remain valid.

Also, the season ticket renewing deadline, May 1st, has now been suspended. This deadline will only be renewed if a new date is confirmed for the start of the 2020/21 season.

All the events related to football has been suspended in England till April 30.
