Maria Sharapova speaks about her diet, learning cooking skills

Maria Sharapova, former World No.1 speaks about the importance of a healthy diet. Maria said that what you put into your body is always going to be extremely important. Maria is the five-time Grand Slam singles champion and is also the brand ambassador of Porsche.

She was speaking with Porsche about the importance of a healthy diet. She said that she took many lessons from her career and a good and healthy diet is one of them. Maria said, “I’ve always been someone who takes good care of their body. But it doesn’t matter if you’re a professional athlete or you work in an office, what you put into your body is always going to be extremely important”.

Although Maria has retired from her tennis career, she gave her fans an insight into her daily routine. She starts her day in a healthy way. She said that she drinks a lot of water mixed with lemon and has been doing this all over her career. Afterwards, she takes green smoothie with one these things-kale, lemon, spinach, little apple or avocado, “Usually with some rye toast”, Maria added. 

However, she said that she is not as strict with her diet these days as she was earlier. “But it still has an impact”, revealed Maria.

Maria Sharapova, who was World No.1 for consecutive 21 weeks is currently enjoying her time with her family and is also learning cooking skills. She said, “We’ve been up the coast on the Pacific Coast Highway, which has been beautiful.”
