‘Marvelous’ Marvin Hagler is no more. 12 successful title defenses, highest knockout percentage among all undisputed middleweight champions, Marvin ruled the middleweight division in the 1980s. The International Boxing Hall of Fame inductee died at the age of 66 (reason undisclosed) – his wife Kay took to social media to announce the news.
One of the greatest middleweights of all time, one of the most durable chins of all time; Marvin Hagler had accomplished it all, before calling time on his career after a controversial loss to Sugar Ray Leonard in 1987. He then went on to become a well known action movie star.
