The last day in the life of English Premier League. Where 20 teams will be taking on each other at the same time across Britain. Few will be battling out for a spot in Champions league next season and some will be trying to avoid the relegation drop. All in all Matchday 38 is going to be a cracker. Strikers will try to take their tally to a personal best. Defenders will try to put nerve clattering tackles. Keepers are going to go for cleans sheets. It is all or nothing for the upper and bottom half of the table. A lot is at stake for many teams. The best thing about final match day in the premiere league is all team plays at the same time.
Liverpool has been crowned champions for 2019-2020 campaign earning their first league silverware in the 30 years. Manchester City and Liverpool are the only teams who have confirmed their berth in next year’s Champions league. In the bottom half of the league Norwich are already relegated to Championship.
Chelsea , Manchester United and Leicester city go into match day 38 in search of Champions League football next season. Only two of them will make top 4 which play next season’s Champions League. Wolves and Tottenham also head into final match day with aspiration of qualifying for next season’s Europa League. Aston Villa and Watford will be in a relegation battle and only the team that captures 3 points will stay afloat in the Premiere League.
However the middle table teams don’t have much to look forward too. Their points are enough to keep them away from relegation but not enough for European Football.
Matchday 38 fixtures

12th placed Southampton will take on 9th placed Sheffield. Both teams have produced some exciting football throughout the season. Sheffield were in contention of Europa League at a stage but their performance post restart has let them down. Danny Ings Southampton’s breakout star of the season will look to end the campaign on a high.
Newcastle vs Liverpool
Many pundits have named Liverpool as the match favorites for game. However Saint Maximin and co will try to deny Klopp’s army their final day three points. Having already lifted the title, Klopp’s men will look to end the season with a win. Newcastle have had an inconsistent run of form but they should be content with their recent outings.
West Ham vs Aston Villa
Aston will take on West Ham United in search of three points. West Ham united is known for causing major upsets in the Premier League. Aston Villa is keen on staying in the top flight. 3 points would be enough for them to survive the drop. Villa will come all out in the game having won their previous fixture against Arsenal.
Brighton vs Burnley

Manchester City vs Norwich City
Manchester city’s Manger Pep Guardiola has expressed his team’s desire to score a sum of 100 goal this campaign. Such a sign is dangerous for the already relegated-Norwich. The Canaries started the campaign on high with strikes from Teemu Pukki and Cantwel but their season unfolded poorly. Norwich will look to bow out on high against last year’s champions.
Crystal Palace vs Tottenham Hotspur
Mourinho’s men will take on the Eagles in their final match day encounter with Europa league qualification in mind. Tottenham can qualify with a win and a favour from Chelsea if they beat Wolves. Palace on the other hand will be content with their Premier League performance.

Bournemouth will go in the last match knowing that only a win will not be enough for survival. The Cherries need to win their fixture and hope that Aston Villa and Watford both lose their matches. Everton’s manager Carlo Ancellotti would also analyze his team’s performance closely in order to set his potential transfer targets for next season.
Just like the whole season the final match day will not disappoint English premiere League fans. Despite the COVID lay off English Premier League is coming to an end.
