The second T20I marked the debut of two Indian players Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan as India made two changes to their squad from the first T20I by replacing the opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan and spin all-rounder Axar Patel. Both the players play for Mumbai Indians and to that Michael Vaughan posted a funny tweet yet again as India gave debuts to two Mumbai Indians players in the second T20I.
Just as Michael Vaughan had talked of the strength of the Mumbai Indians side, it was an MI player that walked home with the Man of the Match Award as Ishan Kishan struck a fantastic half-century to lay the platform for a trademark Virat Kohli second innings knock.
Michael Vaughan’s tweet on India
Soon after India handed debuts to Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav, Michael Vaughan tweeted jokingly that India had taken his suggestion of playing Mumbai Indians players in the Indian playing eleven.
After the match, Vaughan once again taunted India by reiterating his points from earlier that MI were better than India.
Also, Michael Vaughan had been at it in the first T20 against England where India were restricted to 124 for 7, a total England overhauled with ease with eight wickets in hand and more than four overs to spare. After the match Michael Vaughan had tweeted “The @mipaltan are a better T20 team than @BCCI!!!”
