UFC’s November 21st PPV card is in dire need of getting better, considering a couple of big-time bouts got cancelled. Initially set to feature the likes of major names like Cody Garbrandt, Jose Aldo, and Robbie Lawler, the pay per view is in need of possible replacements now.

Deiveson Figueiredo will now fight Alex Perez in the main event and Jose Aldo vs Marlon Vera has been moved to December. And, another high profile fight that has undergone change is Mike Perry vs Robbie Lawler, with Lawler being removed from the card.

With Lawler out, Perry is now reportedly set to take on the “dirty bird” Tim Means. Former welterweight champion Lawler pulled out of his bout against Perry in late October citing an undisclosed injury, leaving an already weakened PPV worse than it was before. However, the addition of Means to the fight does raise a tiny amount hope, the fight could go down to be an action-filled war.

Both men will be looking to turn their fortunes upside down come November 21st. Means (30-12-1 1 NC), has traded wins and losses ever since dropping two questionable split decisions back-to-back against Belal Muhammad and Sergio Moraes. The fight with Perry would be the third 2020 booking.

Perry (14-6), on the other hand has had one mixed bag of a year. Fighting for just the second time this year, his last match ended with a victory over Mickey Gall. However, this came on the back of a two-loss streak for “Platinum”, including a brutal first round TKO defeat to Geoff Neal back at UFC 245. The Neal fight, would play catalyst to Perry’s subsequent alcohol issues; resulting in anger management and charges of domestic abuse by his then wife Danielle Nickerson.

With all these changes being effected on the card, it’s hard to say that it has generated any real interest among the fans. However, it’s never say never as there might still be a ray of hope.
