Mohammad Shami reveals how he thought about committing suicide during his worst times

Indian ace pacer Mohammad Shami has revealed about his worst times as a person. According to him, during that period he thought of killing himself, atleast three times.

During a live session on Instagram, Rohit Sharma & Shami talked about how the latter recovered after his injury in 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, where he took 18 months to recover and get back to the field. Shami terms those 18 months as the worst one’s of his life.

In 2018, his wife Hasin Jahan filed a case of domestic violence against him. However, due to his of his family’s support, he got strength to face all the problems.

Shami revealed, “When I got injured in the 2015 World cup, after that it took me 18 months to fully recover, that was the most painful moment in my life, it was a very stressful period. When I started playing again, I had to go through some personal issues, I think if my family did not support me I would not have made it, I also thought of committing suicide three times.”

He further added, “Someone used to stay with me 24*7, I was not well mentally, my family was there for me, if your family is there then you can get through any situation. If my family was not there then I might have taken a bad step, but I thank my family for being with me throughout.”

Shami was last seen on field during the two-match Test series against New Zealand.

Shami was about to show his ability in IPL 2020 which is indefinitely postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak.
