Indian tennis player Sania Mirza regards her husband Shoaib Malik and MS Dhoni to be silent and cool

Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza lauded former Indian cricketer MS Dhoni for choosing to retire quietly. She felt that there are many similarities between her husband Shoaib Malik and Dhoni.

She said, “MS Dhoni really reminds me of my husband in terms of personality. It is uncanny how similar they are. Both are silent by default. Enjoy at the same time. They are quiet but funny. On the field, they are very cool. In many ways, Dhoni is like Shoaib.” 

Ever since Dhoni had posted a video about his international journey on Instagram announcing his retirement, heaps of sporting personalities from all the globe praised the 39-year-old boy.  

Sania Mirza also spoke on the same and said, “I think that if he (Dhoni) wanted to make a celebration out of it (retirement), he would. I think we should give him that. I think he is a big enough star or has achieved enough, be secured enough to say.”

She also felt that the Dhoni’s contribution for the country is beyond description. Adding to it she mentioned that the fact he went away from the sport quietly, shows his calm and composure. 

On being asked about her favourite cricketer, Sania said that there isn’t one in particular. But took the names of Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni. 

Sania lastly mentioned how a high-pressure professional environment can affect her personal life. She revealed that she takes the help of a psychologist. 

“I do a bit of work with a psychologist and that helps me stay calm. Both I and my husband are in a high-pressure environment and imagine both of us have had a bad day and come back to the same house, there needs to be sanity. So, I take help with a psychologist for things like that,” said the tennis star.
