As the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy is to kick off from January 10, teams are on their full swing to come up with the best teams for the tournament. All the teams aim to consolidate well in almost spheres of batting, bowling and fielding.
Mumbai Team is no different, which recently added Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legendary Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar. Junior Tendulkar, the left-arm pacer was added to the squad along with the seamer Krutik Hanagavadi on Saturday.
“Three days back, the BCCI allowed all the teams to pick 22 players, as all the players will be a part of a bio-bubble, and even net bowlers and replacements can’t be called up from outside. Arjun and Hanagavadi were thus added to the Mumbai squad as it’s 21st and 22nd members,” a source in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) told TOI.
Arjun Tendulkar has featured in India under-19 team and for Mumbai for different age matches on various occasions. He was even spotted with Mumbai Indians (MI) squad in IPL 2020 conducted in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
