Veteran Brad Keselowski secured the front pole in Daytona 500 “The Great American Race” on Sunday after he topped the 150-mile qualifying races on Thursday night. Brad Keselowski who drives the RFK Racing No. 6 Ford Mustang will join his teammate, on the other side of the raw, Chris Buescher who finished second behind Brad Keselowski.

Brad Keselowski and Chris Buescher will start behind reigning NASCAR champion Kyle Larson and his Hendrick Motorsports teammate Alex Bowman, who topped Wednesday’s qualifying, In their Chevrolets.

Following the success, Chris Buescher expressed his satisfaction with the speed and control of the car saying “We have good hot rods here. They are fast and they handle well. I knew we were in good shape that whole race,”

Clash at Callosum champion and Brad Keselowski’s former teammate at Penske Racing Joey Logano lost out to Chris Buescher after he wrecked his car trying to block Buescher’s run in the lead on the 60th and final lap. Joey Logano explained that misjudging Buescher’s closing rate when caused the wreck.

Joey Logano accepted the crash was all his fault as he put his team in a difficult situation for the final race saying “Driver screwed up. That’s really all there is to it. It’s my fault. It stinks because it tore up our car and kind of puts us in a spot as a race team. It’s just a dumb mistake,”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. will make his NASCAR debut on Sunday

Kaz Grala earned one of the 4 open slots for the Daytona 500 in his No. 50 Chevrolet of The Money Team Racing owned by Floyd Mayweather Jr, passing  J.J. Yeley on the final lap of the first race. Kaz Grala after the win face-timed his boss Mayweather alongside his team to deliver the news.

Kaz Grala said that Floyd Mayweather was so pumped about the win adding he has confidence in the team. He added that it was cool moment for him to get validation from a generational boxing superstar like Mayweather adding that his boss is going to be obsessed with NASCAR.

He was so pumped up about it. He was ready, jacked up, and really confident in us. That was a cool pep talk to get, not one that I’ve ever gotten before. It is definitely a cool moment for us and having that validation that he’s excited about this program. He’s really going to get obsessed with this,” Grala said.
