For the ninth time in his career, Ryan Blaney came out without a win in the race after leading more than 100 laps in a race. For any given day the driver with the fastest car and pole position in the race got the most probability of winning the race but when fortune does not favor your brave efforts win is not an option, and Ryan Blaney learned it the hard way in the Arizona desert.

For a second time in a row, Blaney was leading more than 100 laps of the race in his Penske No.12 Ford only to see the just flashed right before his eyes. Ryan Blaney suffered a DNF in Vegas following a crash with Brad Keselowski and now getting knocked to the back again when the lug nut fell out of the air gun during pits stop under a lap 221 caution, from the pole position.

Blaney’s misfortune granted Chase Briscoe a win after he topped Ross Chastain and Tyler Reddick in the last alp sprint. Following the race, the Penske driver came out expressing his opinion that he was ashamed of the result following his incredible rebounce from a speed penalty in stage 1.

Ryan Blaney acknowledged that he wasn’t unable able to get back to his best performance with the car following the pro-longed pit stop. He went on to say though, he wasn’t able to get the top spot, as the field turned out to be too tight for him to do that, he is happy about the recovery compared to his disappointing run-in sin city. Ryan Blaney went on to say he is ashamed of not winning the race with the fastest car on track but added that he is happy to see Chase Briscoe getting a win.

It is hard to tell. I lost the lead there on pit road and just could never get back. I don’t know. I just didn’t have quite the speed and was kind of too tight. I could drive up through the field and make good spots, and nobody could really do that. You would just get really tight behind people. It is not a bad day. A good recovery from last week,” Ryan Blaney said.

We had a fast car, just a shame we couldn’t contend more for the win. It’s cool to see [Chase] Briscoe get his first win, and we’ll go on to next week,” Ryan Blaney added.

NASCAR will hit Atlanta Motor Speedway, Hampton for Folds of Honor QuikTrip 500 Cup Series on 20th March Sunday.
