Trackhouse Racing has been the revelation of the 2022 season as the young team put themselves as one of the teams to beat in this cup season after two incredible wins achieved by their No:1 Chevy Camaro ZL1 driver Ross Chastain but on the other hand their No:99 car drive Daniel Suarez is having a season to forget as he is yet to find consistency with the same car his teammate drove to the victory lane twice.

The Mexican hit the Texas Motor Speedway on Sunday after he joined Ross Chastain, who has already qualified thanks to the race wins, topping the All-Star Race open. Daniel Suarez put forth a good performance at the 1.5-mile oval and after Ross Chastain crashed out early in the race he had all the Trackhouse Racing team backing him for a top finish.

But for one more time, bad luck struck as he couldn’t generate the performance or the speed after a tire change which saw him finish P5 in the race, an 18 place upgrade from the start, behind champion Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Austin Cindric, and Joey Logano in the respective order. Now the No:99 driver has come forth to express what he feels about the race.

Daniel Suarez acknowledged that he believes the No:99 car was among the fastest car of the day as both teams of the Trackhouse racing are doing a very good job at building fast cars week in and week out.  He went on to say that they were one of the best cars out there at one point of the All-Star race and were really going for a top finish until they were constrained by the disadvantage on tires towards the end of the race.

I felt like we were pretty fast. Everyone at Trackhouse Racing – the 99 teams, the 1 team, everyone has been doing a very, very good job building fast race cars. I feel like at one point, we were probably one of the best cars out there. Right down to the very end, we probably were not. We were at a disadvantage on tires, as well,Daniel Suarez said.

Daniel Suarez went on to say that the race was a huge fight for the team as they made their way up the track to the top 10 when they changed the tires and fell back. He went on to add that he is happy with the result and shared his hopes that he might be able to get the season back together at next week’s Coca-Cola 600.

It was a huge fight. We started in the back, fought all the way to the top-10 or something like that, and then tires changed. I’m just happy with the result. Hopefully, we can close the deal next week in the Coca-Cola 600,” Daniel Suarez added.
