With Giannis Antetokounmpo, Stephen Curry and LeBron James pairing up for the first time ever, it surely wasn’t a sight to miss. Team LeBron not only devastatingly beat Team Durant in the NBA 2021 All-Star Game but they won in the most exquisite of fashion. From winning the 3-point contest, to the skill challenge, to every quarter to in the All-Star game, Team LeBron conquered it all.

Obviously, Team Durant were without 2 of their key starters who could’ve changed the game around for them, Kevin Durant and Joel Embiid. But with James Harden, Kawhi Leonard, Kyrie Irving, Bradley Beal etc. Team LeBron ensured that these opposing superstars were only made to be seen as high-school boys as their players took charge throughout the game.

Damian Lillard hit the winning shot, but Giannis Antetokounmpo won MVP with 35 points, seven rebounds and three assists on a perfect 16-of-16 shooting from the field. Lillard threatened for the award as well with 32 points, while Curry added 28 points behind 8-of-16 shooting from deep. Giannis is the first player in NBA history to shoot 100% on 10+ attempts in the All-Star game.

Team LeBron handily won the game 170-150 and raised $1.25 million Thurgood Marshall College Fund in the process. A big part of the reason why Antetokounmpo was able to take home the All-Star Game MVP Award was the fact that he wasn’t competing against James this year. As an All-Star captain, LeBron James is 4-0.

Having said that Team LeBron’s captain, James will finally have a few days to rest before the Lakers start the second half of their regular season schedule on March 12 against the Indiana Pacers. Hopefully James remembers that he plays for the team that doesn’t wear blue and yellow by then.
