The highly anticipated trio of the LA Lakers is all ready to debut in the pre-season game against the Golden State Warriors.

LA Lakers Trio - LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis

Anthony Davis knows that the LA Lakers have gathered a huge contingent of players this time. They surely have formed one of the best and the deadliest trios this NBA season. The trio consisting of LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook is yet to make their debut on the court.

They have been seen playing in the pre-season games but not together. Anthony Davis was made to rest the match up when LeBron James and Russell Westbrook made their debut against the Golden State Warriors. The LA Lakers failed to secure that match in their favor.

Lebron James sat out of the match between the LA Lakers and the Phoenix Suns. James has been reportedly wanting to play the last matches of the pre-season. And, Vogel, the head coach of the LA Lakers, will surely comply with this request because he need to see to which level can this trio take the Lakers rotation.

The most anticipated Trio is likely to make their debut on Tuesday against the Golden state warriors. The explosion of skills and tricks could be expected because both the teams are former NBA Champions.

How the LA Lakers trio will affect the team’s race to NBA Finals; Anthony Davis Opinionates

Anthony Davis

It is a gamble for the LA Lakers because even though they have elevated their paper game by a notch by adding Russell Westbrook still they need practice on the real court to flourish. The trio hasn’t made the debut yet as either one or two of the three are made to rest for the match.

In the game against the Phoenix Suns, LeBron James didn’t play but Davis and Russell Westbrook took the court together but failed to do any magic. Westbrook scored 8 points with 5 assists and yet again he disappointed his fans. Anthony Davis scored 19 points with 6 assists and 3 rebounds, and a classic dunk but it wasn’t enough. The Lakers lost the match by 94-123 to the Phoenix Suns.

According to LeBron James, the LA Lakers have a whole new offensive system and they are still adjusting to it.

“We pretty much have got a whole new offensive system this year that we’ve been working through over our practices since training camp started. It’s an adjustment for us offensively, just having guys in different positions, having guys in different places on the floor with our new look and what we’re trying to do.”

He further added his viewpoint on how the Lakers have been performing so far in the pre-season games.

He said, “It’s going to be a process for us, but I think it will be better off for us in the long run. It keeps the ball moving from one side to another. Not much with a dribble but more with a pass. And obviously, we’ve got downhill attackers with Russ, Nunn, myself, and Talen.”

The trio of King James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook is surely the highest note of this season but doesn’t guarantee the LA Lakers victory if not hit correctly. It is a long way to the NBA finals, and surely a rough one for the LA Lakers.

No matter what but the fans are still very excited to watch them in action together on the court.
