“Best game of the season” Twitter hails San Antonio Spurs after ending Golden State Warriors 11-game home-winning streak

Although the San Antonio Spurs led by as many 22 points mid-way against the Golden State Warriors whilst Stephen Curry struggled from the 3-point line yet the home team made the fans roar at Chase Center. To those who missed the action from the Spurs vs Warriors showdown, the latter team came all the back from a 22-point deficit to go onto take the lead by 1 point late in the fourth quarter. 

However, even with the excellent defensive effort of the Golden State Warriors in the fourth quarter, which saw San Antonio Spurs score only 4 points in the first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter yet they managed to hold their composure to end the 11-game winning streak of the Steve Kerr side as they won the game 112-107, courtesy to the scoring prowess of Derrick White in the clutch moments. 

San Antonio Spurs end Golden State Warriors’ 11-game winning streak 

With Stephen Curry leading the scoring chart with 27 points, he wasn’t at his absolute best as he managed to knock 5 of 17 from the 3-point line. On the other hand, the San Antonio Spurs looked like a completely different unit in the fourth quarter as they managed to score only 4 points in the first 10 minutes of the fourth quarter.  

The result could have been very different in the Spurs vs Warriors game, if it wasn’t for Derrick White not scoring a clutch 3-point bucket to secure the lead of the away team and also scoring both the free-throw attempts to make it a 2-possession game.
