With Kawhi Leonard not in the Los Angeles Clippers team, the pressure is mounted to its peek once again for the LA team to make their position count without marquee scorer. Having trailed 3-1 in the Western Conference finals, the Clippers have managed to make their way back into the series after winning game 5 and a large share goes to DeMarcus Cousins who has been at his absolute best in the previous game against the Phoenix Suns.
He seems to have carried his form in Game 6 at the Staples Center as well as DeMarcus Cousins knocks down a significant buzzer beating 3-pointer to make the Suns pay its full debt. With Clippers knowing that they cannot afford to lose the heat of the game at any point, Cousins has been supporting Paul George brilliantly on the offensive end.
DeMarcus Cousins Knocks Down Impressive 3-Pointer in Clippers vs Suns Game 6
With one second left in the opening quarter in Game 6 against the Phoenix Suns, Cousins drained an impressive bank shot from the left-wing right before the quarter buzzer sounded. Boogie’s shot was as smooth as butter and he was clearly unbothered by the outstretched arms of both Dario Saric and Mikal Bridges.
Bridges had no choice but to scratch his head after Cousins cut the Suns’ lead to just four heading into the second quarter. The four-time NBA All-Star has been on quite the journey in the NBA in his decade-long career in the league. Having being dropped by Houston Rockets earlier in this season, Cousins has been fighting to make an impression.
The 30-year-old found himself signing a couple of 10-days with the Clippers before finally inking a deal to keep him in LA until the end of the season. The decision by the Clippers front office proved to be a huge one with Cousins getting some run as the team’s main option at the five with Ivica Zubac.
