Having led by as many as 19-points the Los Angeles Lakers have once again suffered defeat against the Shai Gilgeous Alexander led Oklahoma City Thunder. Moreover, the purple and gold army were once again without their charismatic scorer LeBron James, who watched from the side-lines as his team gave away a huge lead to the opposition once again. What’s even worst? This time it happened infront of their home fans at the Staples Center.

With Carmelo Anthony draining couple of clutch 3-pointers to keep the game in close distance, Russell Westbrook could not keep his nerves cool as the LA Lakers lost 107-104. Not only did Russ got a turnover when the Lakers had the ball being 2-points down, he failed to connect a game-tying shot from behind the arc as the Lakers are now 1-2 without LeBron on the road.

With the championship favorite once again losing their way against the same team, Twitter seems to have enough content at their disposal to troll the purple and gold army. More importantly Russell Westbrook (27 points) whose valiant efforts went in vain as he proved to be disappointing in the clutch moments for the home team. 

On one hand where the Lakers were ruthlessly beaten, Shai Gilgeous Alexander eld his team until the very end, be it with loo 3-pointers or clutch passes to ensure that the game remains to be a possession event.

Having said that do take a look at some of tweets as social media went flooding after LA Lakers once again suffered a 19-point comeback defeat via the hands of Oklahoma City Thunder in their most recent game. 

The Los Angeles Lakers will start their road trip from Saturday onwards wherein their first encounter will be against the Portland Trail Blazers who are currently 3-5 in the regular season.
