Many would be unaware that Heat was already going with hype to acquire Kyle Lowry from the Toronto Raptors in last season’s trade deadline as well. But were unsuccessful as president Pat Riley was reported to get cold feet. But now, as thing have turned out in favor of the 2019 Eastern Conference Champions, the formidable big 3 of Butler, Lowry and Bam Adebayo is all set to hit the center stage.

Lowry stated as quoted by Clutchpoints“He kind of was continuing to chirp about it and talk to me about it. But as a true friend, it doesn’t matter what decision I made, he was going to support me. But he was really on me about coming to the Heat and kind of fulfilling some things that we talked about before and trying to possibly play together.”

As they say, good things take time. Despite not being as young as before, the 35-year-old Kyle Lowry and the 31-year-old Jimmy Butler can still play with the best of ’em. The two dogged competitors, who take pride in their work ethic and leadership, should only bode well for the Miami Heat. In fact, when Lowry was asked to describe how practices will be with Butler, he only uttered one word.

Having said that, as things stand it remains to be seen whether or not the Miami Heat are able to conquer the leader board in the Eastern Conference. But safe to say that the Heat are looking in better shape than previous season and hopefully before the start of the next season, Heat will be able to add a few more pieces to their roster.
