Lakers News: Anthony Davis to miss at least 4 weeks of action after MCL Sprain in left knee

Anthony Davis side-lined for a month due to knee injury.

In the recent match-up of Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves the Los Angeles Lakers fell short against the Wolves as the team was missing many of its players due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols or injuries. Adding to it was a very unfortunate night of Anthony Davis which will side-line him for at least a month.

Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers already had a rough start this season with player unavailability due to injuries then LeBron’s abdominal sprain, LeBron James suspension then following it Bron entering COVID-19 health and safety protocols and five players recently entering the protocols have always held the Lakers behind this season.

Anthony Davis was at the bottom of the list a week prior in efficiency of shots and was having the worst time of him in the league since drafted. The best big of the league was and is been doubted by everyone while this season he is currently averaging 23.3 PPG, 9.9 RPG and 2.9 APG. The stat line everyone will love to have but Anthony Davis is always expected to do more, having 20 points a game was never expected from Anthony Davis but his influence and efforts were something that mattered the most.

This happened on Friday Night against the Minnesota Timberwolves while Davis was on the offence.

An offensive foul was called on LeBron James for a push off on Jaden McDanielhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaden_McDaniels who as a result fell straight into Anthony’s left knee and this was Anthony Davis’ second fall of the game which resulted him getting carried back to the locker room. The MCL sprain of Anthony Davis will result as a really bad situation for the Los Angeles Lakers as they already are shorthanded and have a tight schedule coming up including the Christmas game with Brooklyn Nets. The Los Angeles Lakers to win games will have to expect LeBron James to come up and carry the squad as he did in his Cleveland Cavaliers tenure.
