Los Angeles Lakers lost to Memphis Grizzlies by 13 points and the team was terrible on both the ends during the game. The stars of Lakers Anthony Davis and LeBron James ended the game with a good stat line but the efforts to win the game lacked behind. Russell Westbrook had one of the worst offensive night of his career where he recorded 9 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds.

Russell Westbrook was seen struggling during the opening weeks of the season and then stepped up in LeBron’s absence but is again seen struggling with the team chemistry on defensive as well as offensive end of the court. Russell in his new yellow and purple uniform this season is averaging 20.0 PPG, 7.7 RPG and 8.6 APG.

Brodie shot 33.3% from the field goal making 3 out of 9 shots attempted and 66.7% from the 3-point line making 2 out of 3 shots attempted and missed 3 out of 4 free throws. This performance by Russell the veteran point guard impacts the team a lot as the Lakers are already struggling and last night it resulted in a defeat.

Skip Bayless took on Russell Westbrook after the Lakers lost to Memphis Grizzlies via a tweet from his personal Twitter handle saying: “Tonight, Russell Westbrook committed some of the most out-of-control, inexplicable turnovers you will ever see from an NBA point guard. Really, pure comedy. And the other night I heard one commentator say Russ “is learning.” Hilarious.”

Skip targeted Russell’s carelessness with the ball as he committed 6 turnovers the most in the game followed by LeBron James with 5. He further added that how a commentator referred the veteran guard by saying he is still learning and that is funny.

The Memphis Grizzlies turned the ball 11 times while the Lakers had 22 turnovers resulting in easy steals for the grizzlies and free points. The six turnovers by Russell Westbrook were silly mistakes from his side. He also went on a scoring drought from the second half and even stopped attempting shots during the final minutes of his on court. Brodie now really has to step up or the Lakers will keep struggling and have a tough time for every match of theirs.

The Los Angeles Lakers were suppose to win this game by a big margin on paper and the reality is very different. It is high time for the Los Angeles Lakers to make some required and important changes in the team to bring the team chemistry in. If this continues the Lakers may end up in the Play-in tournament or may not even make it to the play-in. The season is still big and Lakers have enough time to run a comeback since the veteran roster of the Los Angeles Lakers holds potential to be a championship contender team.
