LaMelo Ball

LaMelo Ball put up the best performance of his career, granting him career high stats, despite which, the Hornets fell short in winning against the Boston Celtics and probably ruined his career night, or at least dented it to some extent.

LaMelo Ball scored 38 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 2 steals in his 39 minutes on court, which was his career night. This was Ball’s second 35/5/5 stat line game and only LeBron, Luka, Durant and Zion have had such games before turning 21 in the past 40 seasons, which testifies in favour of his credibility, which shouldn’t be questioned.

Ball is a certified baller, who had a performance which certainly carried his team forward to some extent in this match, but without the support of the team and an overall performance by all the players, you can’t expect to win at such a high level in the league.

Celtics vs Hornets, 113-107

Despite a valiant effort by LaMelo Ball in his career night, the Hornets fell short in winning their match against the Celtics, which had an overall performance by the entire team unlike the Hornets where only one player performed.

LaMelo Ball lead the way for the Hornets with 38 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds in the 39 minutes that he was on court, followed by Terry Rozier who scored 23 points and PJ Washington who scored 15 points, in an incomplete effort by the team overall.

In reaction to the match, Ball, who was unaware of him breaking his own career high said, “We did come back a lot, just couldn’t finish it. It’s kind of tight right now. If we want to make the playoffs, it’s going to be tight down the stretch.” Even Hornets’ Terry Rozier said, “We know these Eastern Conference teams are fighting for (playoff) spots, just like we are. It’s going to be tough games, just like tonight.”
