Heat star forward Jimmy Butler mocked LaMelo Ball’s scoring celebration during a regular-season game between the Miami-based franchise and the Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night.
The Heat has now glued their spot on the first seed of the eastern conference with their recent win over the Hornets by 144-115. This was Miami’s fifth consecutive victory which they won with their second-highest point total in franchise history. For the Heat, Tyler Herro played a critical role while coming off the bench and leading the team with his 35 points performance.
Herro made 8 three-pointers from behind the field goal arc out of his 14 attempts with this performance he also tied a record as a Miami Heat reserve with Dwyane Wade’s single-game record for points. After the spectacular performance here’s what Herro said during the postgame conference.
“I have to give credit to my teammates,” Herro said. “They trust me to have the ball in my hands and let me be myself, I couldn’t do it without them. Another good win for us and just getting ready for the playoffs.”
Jimmy Butler mocks LaMelo Ball after mimicking his ‘Melo’ signature move
Besides Tyler, Jimmy Butler also showed some exceptional games with 27 points and 9 rebounds although he played a great supporting role, his highlight of the game was when he mocked LaMelo Ball. When 4 minutes 25 seconds were remaining in the game, the Heat was already in the lead by 127-108 and Butler didn’t miss the chance to put salts on the Hornets’ wound.
After heating a deep three-pointer from the wing Butler mimicked LaMelo Ball’s ‘Melo’ celebration and it was funny to watch the Heat star forward celebrating while copying someone else’s moves. Hopefully, Butler will continue his celebration as it is expected that they will face the Hornets in the first round during the postseason games as the Heats have already qualified for the playoffs with 1st seed in their hands and will face the team who will end up being on the eighth seed of the east after the play-in tournament ends
