“LeBron is definitely going to be involved in that” – Bill Simmons claims LeBron James could be involved in buying a Vegas-based NBA team

LeBron James is one of the greatest of all time in the NBA, but eventually, every good thing comes to an end. LeBron James has been successful in entrepreneurship, which also includes ties with the entertainment industry and liquor business. He has a few years left in the NBA and has other aspirations once he retires from playing ball in the NBA.

LeBron has been seen in Movies, acting and in the production line, with his recent announcement, in which he will be co-producing a movie with Adam Sandler will be yet another statement outside basketball. With few years left for the King to play the Loved game of basketball, one often tends to think, so then what after that?

Bill Simmons has some amazing news for all of us, the NBA will be looking to expand the current league which will be done by introducing 2 teams in the future. The two teams which will be used for expansion won’t be any new teams but teams that have not been playing in the NBA for a while, which are Seattle and  Vegas. With this news, he also mentions that LeBron James might be interested in getting involved in a future Las Vegas-based team in the NBA. “I have some intel. I think the league is gonna expand to Vegas and to Seattle. And I think the leading contender to get that Vegas team is gonna be the Fenway Sports Group, that you know. That they have Liverpool. They bought the Penguins. They’ve been circling NBA teams for a while,” said Simmons.

LeBron has made several investments such as Fenway Sports Group in 2011 which saw him become an official Partner a year ago with them, with this he is also involved in ownerships he is part-owner of different other teams like Boston Red Sox, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Liverpool Football Club.

LeBron James reveals his desire to own an NBA team

LeBron James has been a huge admirer of Michael Jordan since childhood. Growing up in Cleveland and wearing the No.23 jersey as every fan does, to becoming the Greatest Player ever has all but stamped his name in the NBA world with an NBA team under his ownership.

One of his many desires is to own an NBA team, “I’ve always said that my goal was to own a team, own an NBA team. I’ve got so much to give to the game. I know what it takes to win at this level. I know talent. I also know how to run a business as well and so that is my goal. My goal is to own an NBA franchise. It’ll be sooner than later,” said LeBron James. If he becomes the owner of an NBA team, he will be right after other players, which includes his Idol Michael Jordan who is the majority shareholder of the Charlotte Hornets, along with teammate Dwayne Wade who has a stake in Utah Jazz.
