“Should be concerned”: Former NBA legends Robert Horry and Vince Carter have tough counselling for Los Angeles Clippers

Kawhi Leonard and Luka Doncic

The Los Angeles Clippers have lost 2 of their games against the Dallas Mavericks. It seems like their playoff curse hasn’t gone away. They are repeating their worst form from last year’s playoff despite seeding on the higher league in the regular season. They’re in a thick soup and even the most optimistic minds would agree that they now have to pull a strenuous effort from here. The LA based franchise is taking a toll on their playoff survival now. After a consecutive defeat from Dallas mavericks they have a lot on their plate. The Hall of Famer Robert Horry put his words of advice for the struggling Los Angeles Clippers.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Dallas Mavericks entangled themselves in the second game of playoff series. Kawhi Leonard’s 41 minute 41-points went completely in vain as they lost the 2nd game. Paul George’s 28-points were also worthless while they blew a small lead. Dallas displayed an overall team game yet again. While their lead Luka Doncic poured 39-points. Tim Hardaway Jr.’s clutch three pointer secured a huge victory for the Mavs.

After the Clippers took those two losses, synchronous comments from their unit said that they have “no concern” whatsoever. In a recent interview, former Raptors legend and 8x All-Star Vince Carter took that comment on face value and condemned, “You should be concerned. You didn’t play well, you didn’t get a win at home. So now you’re going to a confident Dallas Mavericks on the road. And I don’t get it… Defensively, they need to make shots… You have to pick your poison.”

Legendary Robert Horry said, “Clippers had no fans, you’re going to Texas. There are going to be fans, they are going to be [indiscernible], this is Dallas, this is Mark Cuban’s club, who knows how to get this team… So they’re up for this challenge. Remember last season, they remember what happened in the bubble with Porzingis.

The star forward also added, “They want revenge and now they took two games from you. The Clippers should be concerned. They need to come with a little sense of urgency and find a way to get the ball out of Luka’s hands.” The Clippers are in a position where even a single loss can blow up their playoff contention. They have been a no-show in the postseason, and this is the same case since last year when they burned their 3-1 lead against the Nuggets. Their dire need to improve playoff form is only reason to avoid further loss.
