“Celtics in 6” Chris Broussard believes Jayson Tatum is going to bounce back stronger than ever to inspire the team past Heat in NBA Finals

Miami Heat steal Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals from Jayson Tatum and the Celtics, Chris Broussard believes the second seed with bounce and finish it in Game 6.

Jayson Tatum will potentially become the biggest reason why the Boston Celtics may win the title this season. After a very tough initial few months of the regular season without proper chemistry and offensive firepower, the Celtics bounced back into playoff contention. The team managed to get through some of the toughest teams and projected title holders.

During the round of the post-season, they were matched up against the Brooklyn Nets and one of the league’s best scorers in Kevin Durant. However, Boston’s top-level defense was able to hold off their Nets’ offense to a minimum and swept them in a crucial Game 4. Round two had the former MVP and champions, the Milwaukee Bucks, who put up a good fight pushing the series to Game 7.

Last night, the Celtics commenced their official journey for the title this season. Despite a disappointing third quarter, the team showed a good fight against the Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler helped win the game 118-107 taking an early lead. He scored 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists during the game. The Heat shot 48.8% from the field, 33.3% from beyond the arc, and 88.2% from the free-throw line.

They held Boston with their defense recording 12 blocks and 10 steals with only 12 turnovers. Jayson Tatum had a decent showing with 29 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists on 10-21 shooting. Jaylen Brown was a great backup finishing with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Both teams had very close stats but the offensively poor third quarter led to Boston’s loss.

Before the conference finals, reigning defensive player of the year Marcus Smart injured his foot which may keep him out for a few games. This may affect the defensive structure of the team and let the Heat get through. Analyst Chris Broussard spoke about the loss they faced.

“The Heat did to the Celtics, what the Celtics did to the Nets. Their toughness really made Boston they were on unhinged.” He further predicted the outcome of the series saying that Jayson Tatum will help his team bounce back and close out in Game 6. Regardless, there is still a hefty amount of playing to be done before any prediction can be valid.
