Devin Booker has been a true leader for Monty Williams’ team. Having not only led in the absence of Chris Paul, but his attacking prowess on the court, has made Phoenix Suns – a force to reckon with in the Western Conference. On the same note, ahead of the 2022-23 season, Suns have decided to show their maximum trust in DBook as he has been made to sign $214 Million worth max extension.

Interestingly it is a $214 Million deal which stretches for four years, paying him $60 Million in his final year. The 25-year-old has been amongst the leading point-scorers in the league in the past two seasons and with the latest move, it only goes onto show that Phoenix Suns want to build their team around him.

While the Suns have yet to win an NBA title despite coming close in 2020-21 and topping the West the following year, there is no doubt that Booker has earned every bit of his contract with the Arizona-based franchise. Now that there is no longer any question about his future, though, he can finally focus on getting over that final hurdle separating the Suns and the Larry O’Brien trophy.
