Jalen Brunson has been the front-running player for the New York Knicks this season. His sensational game awareness and skill are one of the reasons they have made it this far. The New York Knicks are facing the Miami Heat for the Eastern Conference Semi-Finals. In Game 1, the Heat picked up a formidable win playing NY at their home court. Brunson had scored an impressive 25 points, although in a losing cause. However, the Knicks guard is currently listed as ‘Game Time Decision’ under the injury reports for Game 2.
Brunson looked like he was struggling during the first encounter against Miami. He wasn’t at his best with shooting the ball as he went 0-7 for three-pointers. However, now he is suspected of having a sore right ankle. Although it is unclear when the guard suffered the niggle, the Knicks fan can only hope it’s not too serious. Miami already leads the series 1-0 and without Brunson, the Knicks’ chances of levelling the series 1-1 before heading south could get slim.
The New York Knicks are already hit with an injury bug. The NY all-star guard Julius Randle missed out on Game 1 due to a sprained left ankle. He remains questionable for Game 2 as well, now alongside Jalen Brunson. Brunson, who missed 10 of the final 14 games of the regular season with foot and hand injuries, has been playing in the postseason. However, the recent complication in his ankle is a new problem.

Where does Jalen Brunson play?
Jalen Brunson is officially listed as a shooting guard for the New York Knicks. However, he’s a prolific shooter and playmaker on the basketball court as well. Brunson is a very potent player as a guard on the floor and is often fluid between a point guard and a shooting guard. His consistent scoring makes him a precious asset to the team. Therefore, the Knicks would hope that their front-running guard is fit and healthy to play for them, giving them a fair shot at levelling the series 1-1 at home.
Jalen Brunson Fantasy Update and Predictions
Brunson has been a solid offensive force this season. He averaged 24.0 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and 6.2 assists per game this regular season. Through six playoff games, Brunson is averaging 24.2 points, 5.2 assists, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.0 steals in 38 minutes per game.
Needless to say, Brunson’s presence on the court would be a huge morale boost for the Knicks. NY has had a decent record playing on the road going 24-17 in the regular season. However, they would still look to make the most out of their home-court advantage. If Brunson plays Game 2, we can expect a stellar performance from the guard. However, there is a good possibility that he would be on a ‘minutes restriction’. While speculations about the guard’s fitness loom over social media, we can only wait to see if Brunson makes a presence against the Heat.
