The most recent heroics of him comprises of a magical performance which ensured Mavs ticket to the conference finals against Golden State Warriors. Which surely made NBA analyst Jay Williams gush all over him.

Luka Doncic knocked game-high 35 points for the away team as they stormed past top-seed Phoenix Suns in Game 7 of their semi-final series. With the home fans being forced to leave at halftime, Williams among many other analysts are all praise for the European star. Moreover, the former Bulls player went onto compare Doncic with Magic ‘Showtime’ Johnson.

On the latest episode of ESPN’s Keyshawn, JWill and Max, William spoke on Doncic’s latest performance and stated, “There’s a little bit of Magic Johnson ‘Showtime’ in him. When you’re watching him play, it doesn’t feel like you’re watching a game. It feels like you’re watching an event. There’s a performance that this dude puts on and the amount of trash talking, like, you’ll never question the grittiness or the toughness of this dude.” 

Luka Doncic averaged 32.6 points on a nightly basis against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference semi-finals series. The Slovenian also recorded 9.9 rebounds and 7.0 assists. Furthermore, he shot nearly 33.8% from beyond the arc and was the orchestrator for the Dallas Mavericks throughout the series, especially in their rout in Game 7 vs Phoenix Suns.

All eyes will now be on Luka Doncic and Jalen Brunson and how they lead their Mavericks past the favorites Golden State Warriors in the conference finals.
