James Harden representing the Houston Rockets was an era when fans felt that the Beard only requires a supporting hand in order to contest for the championship. After parting ways with his beloved team, Harden has struggled for two consecutive seasons in order to find his best form, but hasn’t been able to. But this time, with the Philadelphia76ers getting thrown out of the 2021-22 semi-final Skip Bayless just cannot let go of the spoken off player so easily.

The Sixers once again found their way out of the playoffs in the semi-final stage against Miami Heat, wherein James Harden could not help him team on the offensive end. Having scored just 11 points, the Beard even had 4 turnovers against his name. This went onto ensure Bayless to launch another scathing attack on the former MVP upon his caliber to deliver in the playoffs.

“James Harden is 32 going on 42. Even worse, he just doesn’t CARE. He’s made tons of $$$ and knows somebody will pay him tons more. He’s got his MVP. He’s Top 75. Championships never were his thing. Hides under playoff pressure. Supremely skilled nightmare.”

When Harden was acquired by Philadelphia on the 2022 trade deadline day, many expected him to be the ultimate supporting scorer to Joel Embiid. With the latter himself looking to lose all motivation to continue in the deeper stages of the playoffs after inching out to Jokic for the MVP accolade, Harden was only going to downplay his stature in the playoffs.

With Jimmy Butler, Heat performing ever so well and managing to reach the Conference Finals for the second time in three years, who will they contest against, Bucks or Celtics?
