The Trail Blazers have been riddled with injuries throughout the season, which has played a huge factor in their disappointing 27-55 record after making it to the Western Conference finals in 2019. The 7-footer from Bosnia and Herzegovina has battled numerous injuries and has still put up good numbers even after the left foot injury in 2021-22. The Bosnian center has started 95% of Portland’s games, averaging 15 points per contest topping that with career-highs in shooting percentage (53.5%) and rebounds per game (11.1).

Injuries have been a recurring issue for Nurkic in recent times. He played in just eight regular season games during the 2019-20 campaign after suffering a compound fracture of his left tibia and fibula in March ’19. He played in just 37 games last season.
