Nikola Jokic Ejected!

Nikola Jokic

This all transpired during the last seven minutes fourth quarter when while in defense Nikola Jokic gets charged on by Wizards Spencer Dinwiddie and although the contact was very prevalent seeing the push with which he fell on the court still the referee doesn’t ring the whistle.

Continuing the game, Jokic gets up and joins his team in offense. To help Monte Morris with the ball Jokic provided him with a screen and guess from whom? Yes, Wizards’ #26 Spencer Dinwiddie. Seems like Jokic didn’t forget that push from seconds ago.

Jokic gives a very sturdy screen to Spencer to which he did protest but to no avail as the referees again did bother themselves with it. This might have built up enough frustration in both the players because as soon as Monte Morris shoots a jumper and was going back to defense Nikola Jokic and Spencer Dinwiddie engage in a scuffle.

The things got very physical but the way Jokic got into the referee’s space in a frustrated way made him earn another ejection of this season. The 26-year-old needs to do something about this habit of his. He had another triple-double coming but his sense of getting back at players overshadowed it. He has 28 points, 19 rebounds, and 9 assists.

The Denver Nuggets were 103-85 by now so the action wasn’t that necessary when you have a 20 point lead. The Nuggets beat the Wizards by 103-107 to acquire their 14th win of this season.
