Get to know all about Klay Thompson return date from injury here. It is been more than 2 years since Golden State Warriors’ fans witnessed the splash brother in action on the court. Recovering from an Archilles injury, Thompson’s absence haunted the team until the previous year until the NBA 2021-22 Season. In the current season Stephen Curry led Warriors have had the best start and have won just lost 1 game even after locking horns against the top-rated teams.
Now with players already in their best shape, Klay Thompson’s return could add even more motivation among the team. After being deprived of the court-action, Thompson seems to be all set to return to action for the Golden State Warriors. As per ESPN’s NBA guru Adrian Wojnarowski, Thompson could be cleared to return as early as December 20 when the team lock horns against Sacramento Kings.
Klay Thompson Return all set for Warriors
“I’m told if he continues on his current course right now in rehab, that a target date for his return will be set probably within the next couple weeks,” Woj said, via Paul Kasabian of Bleacher Report. “And It could be—there’s optimism it could be as soon as December 20, December 23. The Warriors have home games before Christmas, and so the plan for Klay Thompson is to continue to ramp up.
“The Warriors’ll go on a road trip in mid-December, and at that point, if Klay continues on this track, he’d go down and play with the Warriors’ G League team. And the idea is, and the hope is, they’ll have him back perhaps prior to Christmas.”
Having said that, after being Klay Thompson teasing with his practices on court, hoop fans could finally witness one of the greatest shooters in the league in action once again. Moreover, it will also be interesting to see how Stephen Curry blends in with his splash brother after more than 2-year gap.
