Stephen Curry created history in the matchup of Golden State Warriors and New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden by shooting a three and breaking the record everyone was waiting on for last couple of Warriors game. In the starting 5 minutes of first quarter Steph made two three pointers and broke the record of most career three pointers made.

The record was earlier held by Ray Allen for 11 years and now Stephen Curry leads the list of NBA’s all-time most three pointers made with 2974+ threes made as he continues to play and is even on a four year contract with the Golden State Warriors. Even before breaking the all time record Steph was already recognized as the Greatest Shooter the league has ever seen.

Stephen Curry’s shot that made history

Stephen Curry has many crazy and clutch shots in all the years he has been a part of the league but this one three pointer at Madison Square Garden against New York Knicks goes down special in history as the shot was a record breaking one. With 7 minutes 28 seconds left in the first quarter Steph swished the shot and moved to further celebration where the game was paused as he met his parents and paid to respect to Ray Allen as he got the torch passed to him.

The record was all set to come in during this match-up as Stephen Curry was only 2 three pointers behind and so everyone who played a important role was present in the arena. Stephen Curry splashed the three pointer with a quick release as he was assisted and passed by Andrew Wiggins. The Golden State Warriors also went winning the game with a margin of 9 points.

Stephen Curry had 22 points, 3 assists and 3 rebounds when the final whistle was called while playing for 34 minutes and 43 seconds on the court. Steph also made 5 out of 14 three pointers attempted which makes him topping the all-time list with 2,977 made threes.
